I spent about 15 years working as a union pipelayer all over the West Coast, but mostly around the Seattle area. I earned a CM degree at night during the later portion of that time, and now work as a project manager for a small civil outfit locally.
I have all my ducks in a row except financing (and I have no interest in sharing control with investors) , within 3 years I'll have my own outfit focused around civil projects in the 1-3M range.
