Me and the ole lady are heading down to babcock ranch preserve between Cape Coral and Palmdale (florida) for a gun hunt this weekend.
Still way too hot to feel like deer season but it'll be nice to get in the woods.
Never hunted this type of terrain, palmetto flats, sparse pines. Gonna get way up in a pine tree and get ready to sling lead 2-300 yards. I whacked one at 275 last year, maybe I can break my record.
Regardless, it'll be hot, wet, full of bugs and snakes but nice to be in the woods.
First hunt of the year!

Man, that really doesn't sound like hunting season, especially the snakes part. Good luck!
Rumors of my assimilation have been greatly exaggerated.
