Gator season is here

Post by Bogger »

I was fortunate enough to pull gator permits this year. Here's a couple of pictures of the results. They ain't the biggest gators I've gotten, but it was a challenge hauling two 8 ft. plus gators with 2 people in my 12X36 mud rig.

Damn, I'm glad I don't live in a place with gators.

Nope, nope, nope!

Cool!

I forgot about the Texas drawings this year. Next year I'll be signing up for the management hunt where you bowfish and/or gig the little ones (<5 ft).

Nice lizards!

Yesterday we had a 10.5 footer come on the beach in Venice. He was so exhausted and dehydrated from being in saltwater he didn't even put up a fight.

Did you fill all your tags?

Yep filled the tags Area 404. No big one's on the miami canal this year. A few years back we got a decent one 12'2. I had a full mount. I'll post a picture when I can find it.

It was a nuisance gator on the public beach. Had to be put down.

12'2" is a huge gator. They don't get much bigger than that. Bet he had a big role of fat around his neck. Any idea he weighed? We'd love to see a picture of the mount if you ever find it.
