Trail Camera Pics 2016-2017

Post by sunshine »

Anyone running trail cams yet? I'm fixing to put mine out.

Will post some pics shortly.

Been watching a couple deer for 2 years now, hoping to see them this year.

Been watching this guy for going on (hopefully) 3 years. Pretty sure he made it. Date is right on that one. Gonna fire up the old computer and pull the pics off of it.

That's a nice one to me! But isn't that big for a Fl deer? I always thought you guys had really small deer down there for some reason. I mean, I know our deer here in GA aren't big either compared to the Midwest but I had envisioned basket rack bucks all my life in Fl.

Yeah he's a good Florida deer, I've got pics of him from last year and he put on some mass. I'll dig them out this afternoon. Florida deer definitely don't have the nutrient availability, but there are still quality deer to be found. Just not at the density that the Midwest states do.

It's really evident in body size. I grew up in Indiana and a 3.5 year old deer will weigh what a yearling buck will up there.

Pics are from about 120 yards from my back porch.

Awesome! I'm very fortunate that I have a small piece of property that I can hunt here at the house that supplies me with everything that I would want to hunt. Not an over abundance of course, just the basics. A bunch of does and yearlings year round, a few turkeys make they're way through every once in a while and a nice duck swamp (but no dang ducks).
