Is that a homemade boat?

Yea, I was wondering the same thing. Nice little hull. I would love to know what it weighs and who built it.jmscherrman wrote:Is that a homemade boat?

Yes, it's a homemade hull. I bought it from someone who also bought it, so I don't have any info on who actually built it. It's 13 ft long and hunts OK with just me and a couple dozen decoys. I have to be careful about keeping my weight balanced as there is much freeboard. I only hunt it in shallow marshes.

Jon noticed that the motor was mounted too high and needed to be lowered. I've already done that and it does work much better.

That looks like a fun little rig. Have you clocked it with GPS yet?

I'm only getting 6 with my setup, don't worry about it. Beats the hell out of paddling!

Re: Mini kit on my layout boat.
Our redesigned Mini kit is lighter and faster than the old model. With a jetted 99cc Predator, stainless header, & K&N style breather, it pushes a 10ft jonboat (90lbs) and myself (210lbs) to a planing speed of 10mph. The new Mini Swamp Runner should be available within the next week or two.
