I could have gone to the right but square nose boats don't glance off rock walls very well so I didn't want to risk it....turns out that wasn't a gravel bottom so the boat and prop got lifted out of the water.

So, one of the big attractions to the area is this winding road called Devil's Backbone. I don't drive through there when the sun is low because it is asking to get hit by deer or another vehicle. This pic is called "Moonrise on Devil's backbone"

You've got some great looking rivers to ride in! Wish it wasn't such a long haul to Texas

Ha! I have to deal with way too much heat here to even think about staying in south Texas for long! Now, 3 or 4 states north, that's more my style.

Looks like a hard hit in on those rocks! Do you carry anything for emergency hole repair? I ripped open a couple small holes at the transom of my boat this year, a toilet wax ring saved the trip!
