I take lots of pictures with my old Nikon D50.

Here are a few from my fishing trip last week.

Rio Grande cichlid investigating my boat sitting on a stump instead of throwing an anchor out.


You can duck hunt with a camera year round and not get a ticket from the game warden.


It was this smooth until a friend asked me if I was there alone...then half a dozen wake boats and some jet skis appeared before I had a chance to respond to the text message.

Yes we do, and with me living in the headwaters of one of the best has advantages. Low quality cell phone but it was a fun trip.

Lower San Marcos out near Staples.

I gotta be careful not to run that water too much because some of the residents appear to get upset when I go roaring through there.

I'm wanting to make a trip to the lower Guadalupe in Victoria. I was down there almost one year ago exactly doing some biomonitoring work. We had a 1436 with a 15 hp Merc and had plenty of riffles where we would get out, lock the motor up and push the boat. My current rig would be a blast out there.

I watched the whole ten minutes of it, and really enjoyed watching you running the rapids downriver at the 3:00 minute mark. With two guys on board, the boat did real well going upriver through the rapids at the 9:00 minute mark.

I would imagine the residents on the river would be annoyed at seeing a boat, because they probably don't see many on that river. Too shallow for outboards.
