Im guessing your going with a large kit? What will be the engine of choice?

Planning on the Predator v-twin, everyone is dying to see the performance but no one has posted anything up yet. If it doesn't work well I'll be going with a Briggs Vanguard.

I forgot to see if the twins were in the store when I went to Harbor Freight the other day. I was in and out, just getting some clamps for the boat blind I decided to build a week before the season
Good news is with the twin you'll be able to run the light bar
Also, turn your crawdad into a layout boat. Set her right inside the new one to your hunting spot.

That's the reason I got the new boat, wanted to run a light bar! lol
Crawdad was already a layout boat....it wasn't that comfortable, but it did hide well. We bank hunt a lot and really only use boats for transport. Easier to hide that way.

I see. I'm still throwing around building a hybrid for days I hunt by myself. But we can't hunt from shore, and I would still have to hide the tracker somewhere.
Now we really need to meet up in the spring and cause some trouble!

I'm down for tearing it up, this spring will be a lot better for me with no wedding planning!

Found out the boat is a 1968, it's nickname is "The Chief" because of the logo and how old it is.

Got my new nav lights installed in the old beast. Went with these in 11mm on some recommendations over at tinboats.net

That sucks. Guess it gives you time to get the rest figured out though.

Yup, gives me time to sort out the battery, floor, and fuel tank mounting.
