FACTORS TO CONSIDER WHEN MATCHING YOUR ENGINE WITH A SWAMP RUNNER™ KIT
Bolt Circle Diameter
Most horizontal shaft engines have four tapped holes on the engine side cover, that are located in a circle around the output shaft. These bolt circle mounting holes are a key feature of most horizontal shaft motors. Be sure the motor you purchase has them if you plan to use our kit. Use the diagram to the right to properly measure your engine’s bolt circle diameter
How do you know if your motor has the required mounting holes?
Look at where the output shaft is on the motor. Then, notice that there are two holes above, and two holes below the shaft. They will be located on an imaginary circle and centered on the output shaft. Measure the distance between the center of the holes that are opposite from each other, and you will have your bolt circle diameter
