This is a weed cutter bar. This is mounted using the pre-drilled holes on the base of the shaft skeg, and closes the gap between the flange bushing and the prop.
This bar will help prevent weeds from grabbing onto the empty shaft between the prop and the flange bushing.
While holding the skeg end of your longtail looking down the shaft to the motor, you mount this on the left (port) side of the skeg to counteract prop torque. This cutter will help prevent weeds from grabbing onto the empty shaft between the prop and the flange bushing. Comes with two screws and two lock washers. Loctite on the threads recommended.
