As a savvy consumer, it is always smart to do your homework before making a sizable purchase.  Many customers have asked us why their Google search didn’t turn up much information about the Thai longtail motor.

Despite its long track record in the East, the Thai longtail is a relative newcomer to the West.  There isn’t a lot of information in English about them because there are very few people in this part of the world who actually know enough about the subject to say much.

On the other hand, we’ve recently noticed a few folks trying to insert themselves into the Thai longtail world by offering a knock-off product they knew nothing about, all in an attempt to make a buck.  They try to compare themselves to SPS, parrot what we say and muddy the waters with inaccurate claims.

We can’t blame them for trying to imitate Swamp Runner, but we’re over twenty years ahead of them in Thai longtail experience, and there simply is no comparison between a Swamp Runner longtail and what they are attempting to sell.

The information below is provided to clear up some of the inaccurate info being spread, and help consumers make an informed decision.
